Please reach out to us at ride@forestdogbus.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
First and foremost, fun! If you have to spell the word "RIDE" in your house, your dog is guaranteed to love spending time on the bus!
Transportation, Mobile Daycare, Mobile Exercise (Dog Treadmill), Pop-Up Events (like Birthday and Gotcha Day Parties), Warm-up or Cool-down Center Service, and so much more!
All dogs must follow the three F's- Be Friendly, Fixed and Fully Vaccinated (Rabies, Distemper Combo and Bordetella are required, and we strongly recommend Lyme & Leptospirosis Vaccines) All dogs must be wearing a harness (any style, as long as it fits snugly and has an attachment point on their back. Front-clip style harnesses cannot be used in this situation)
Dogs who are outright aggressive cannot ride the bus, but reactive or unsocialized dogs can be accepted under certain circumstances. Dogs with a history of reactivity must ride crated, which carries an additional fee of $10. These dogs will not qualify for "field trip" services. Any dog who shows aggression towards other dogs or people may be denied service in the future.
If your dog has a history of car sickness, please consult your vet for treatment options. Many dogs can have their motion sickness symptoms alleviated via prescription medication. Please warn us, so we don't give your sensitive pup treats during their ride!
We have completely redesigned the interior of our bus to suit our canine passengers! Each dog has their own "seat" with steel-anchor and tether. Small dogs have the option to share a seat!
Almost anywhere! Our listed prices include any addresses within 10 miles of "Home".
For reference- you can use JFHS as the center of our "in-range" area. Rides with pickups/dropoffs outside the range may incur an additional fee, and depends greatly on time of day and capacity limits.
Yes! We offer door-to-door service!
Be sure to schedule a meet-and-greet, so we can confirm that we are able to safely pick up or drop off while you are not at home. "Home alone" services are an extra $5. We reserve the right to deny this service to any location we do not deem safe and secure for our employees or the dogs in our care.
Your pet needs to follow all rules, regulations and requirements of the businesses to which we "deliver". Owners are responsible for scheduling appointments and fulfilling the specific needs of these locations before making their ride appointment. If we arrive at a location and those requirements have not been met, resulting in denial of services, your dog will be immediately returned home, and charged for a "round trip".
In an effort to avoid situations that could lead to unwanted behaviors (like resource guarding or aggression) we do not allow meals on the bus. All dogs riding for more than 20 minutes will be offered water.
